Director’s Report: MSHDA Façade Grant Application • The Alma DDA applied for the Façade Grant from MSHDA in May 2006 and did not receive. The application needed a letter from the donating bank stating that they understand that the building and property was worth more the $1 it donated it to the DDA for. The application also needed a letter from each of the property owners stating that they agree with the guidelines of the program. • Each of these letters was completed and the application is to be dropped off September 14th at MSHDA headquarters. Alma DDA Meeting Date and Time • To encourage more involvement from the public and maybe get more business people to come to DDA meeting, the board has decided to try a different time, date and location. • A time of noon was decided upon, because at some point everyone needs to take a lunch and it works for St. Louis. • It was felt by the board that the location needs to be changed because some may feel intimidated by coming to a meeting at City Hall.
