Tartan Spring Fling Activities will take place in Downtown Alma April 19th. There will be a Tartan Pet Parade in downtown Alma. Registration begins at 12:30 p.m. between Alma True Value and The Chamber Office. This event is sponsored by Redbird Pet Food Center and donations from Alma True Value. A Shortbread Bakeoff will take place at the Book Shoppe on State Street. Registration is at 1:30 p.m. There will be prizes for the top 3 tasting shortbreads. April is also National Kite Month.
